In 1993 Eli and I recorded a sweet little song called "Song For a Sad Cat." I mention this because now, 13 years later, he's come up with a sequel as part of his very disciplined "song-a-day" exercise.

I'd like to point out that my present cat doesn't respond in any way to either song. Like, she doesn't perk up her ears as though there's really a cat in the room. Or maybe she just doesn't like the songs.

Seriously, my cat Ian seemed to enjoy both these songs. His response inspired me to sing a few bars of "cat-neep dream, cat-neep dream, me-ow meow-meow!", to which he did not respond.
Ian's an unusually smart cat, but I guess even HE is unable to handle J-Pop! "A gleen flog firred with cat-neep..."

"Song For A Sad Cat": Gomiya perks up her ears slightly at the loud meow roughly halfway through. Wicket opens one eye toward the end of the song. China does not react.
"Song For A Bored Cat": Gomiya looks over, mildly curious; the sound of Tarquin's voice sometimes means that Tarquin may get food, which she can then steal from him. China continues to sleep. Wicket covers his face with both paws.
