Dr. Seuss Inhales Flit

From the July 14, 1928 issue of The New Yorker:

We now know Dr. Seuss was inspired by the same drug the "Betty Boop" cartoonists were using: pure, uncut Flit, right up the nose.

(Kids, don't inhale Flit, seriously).
